Historical wall panels

Historical wall panels are design works built from existing visual languages, patterns, and materials with historical or cultural origins. Instead of nature-derived forms or grid systems, the underlying logic here comes from ornament, craft, archives, and tradition. Within Heritage Material Design, these wall panels are developed from reclaimed materials, sometimes using historic textiles or archival imagery as a direct source, then reworked through cutting, repetition, scale and layering into a contemporary composition.

The focus is on clear rhythm, material presence and a controlled translation from reference to form. This makes the works function both as autonomous pieces and as professional interior applications, adding identity and context without becoming purely decorative.

Working with historic textiles and archival imagery benefits from a shared heritage knowledge base around context, significance and responsible handling. Internationally, this is developed and exchanged within the conservation field through organisations such as ICCROM.

Quiet Layers

Heritage-based cwall panels with low visual intensity.
Repetition, soft transitions and an even rhythm allow historic imagery and archival material to merge into calm, continuous wall surfaces, where references remain present without becoming dominant.

accent

Heritage-based compositions with a stronger visual presence.
Recognisable motifs, layered fragments and clear contrasts give these works a concentrated focus, allowing them to function as both a visual and conceptual anchor within a space.

The works in this series function as autonomous prototypes within a single design system.
Each technique can be translated to other materials and applied across a range of interior contexts.
